FREE REPUBLIC NETWORK LAUNCHES WEB SITE ON SENATE INTELLIGENCE COMMITTEE MEMO, CALLS FOR SENATOR ROCKEFELLER TO RESIGN

(Washington, DC) The Free Republic Network today announced the unveiling of www.intelmemo.com, a new web site that provides news, analysis and research material regarding the plans by partisan Democrats on the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence to use sensitive intelligence data for political attacks against the Bush Administration, as outlined in a recently revealed internal memo. The Network also called for the immediate resignation of the Committee’s Vice Chairman, Senator Jay Rockefeller. Executive Director Robert Hahn released the following statement:

“The members of the Senate Intelligence Committee have access to our government’s most sensitive secrets. The lives of America’s soldiers and intelligence agents depend on their using that knowledge responsibly. It is now clear that certain partisan members of this vital committee have conspired to misuse their positions, influence, and access to classified information to undermine President Bush during the 2004 campaign season.

The leaked memo describes a phony ‘independent investigation’ designed to let the Democrats dig through classified material – information that should be used to improve our national security – to support and publicize their political agenda. We agree with Senator Zell Miller that this abuse must not be tolerated, ignored, or excused, and that “heads should roll.”

Therefore, I ask every American citizen to join me in calling for the immediate resignation of Jay Rockefeller from the United States Senate. As ranking Democratic member of the Intelligence Committee, Senator Rockefeller is responsible for the acts of his subordinates. We cannot permit America's national security to be damaged by partisan political warfare.”

The complete contents of the memo, press articles, transcripts from the Congressional Record and other information can be found at www.intelmemo.com.

Well, I havn't updated my blog in some time. I don't know why. I guess I just didn't feel like it. So many things to do, so little time. I need to be more disciplined about it, perhaps.

Hippies Hate Water

Well, President Bush is coming to town today, so all the dirty smelly hippies (AKA "The Unwashed Masses") will be out in full force - if they get out of hand, the police will be unable to use tear gas since everyone's eyes will be watering from the smell as it is. My only hope is that the riot police would bring out the water cannons, and they use soapy water in them.

Maybe the hippies are just ticked off because a concert, sponsored by Ben and Jerry's, was cancelled at Woodstock - I mean, imagine how YOU'D feel if someone said "Sorry, but you can't roll around naked in the mud and human feces this summer because not enough people were interested."? I guess that means the rest of us need sensitivity or diversity training, then we'd all want to roll around naked in mud and human feces too!

"OH NO! THERE'S SOAPY WATER IN THAT THING! RUN! RUN!"

Separated at birth?

Wednesday, July 23, 2003

What? Don't look at me like that. I DID say that I would update this approximately whenever I felt like it.

Besides, what's the point of updating? Today's news is the same as every other day - Democrats whining, calling Bush a liar, referring to our troops as murders etc. etc. ad nauseum... One high point of the day is the fact that Governor Gray Davis, of California, will be the first governor in about 80 or so years to face a recall election. Of course, the Lt. Governor is looking for a legal way to take power in the event the recall is successful, but for Democrats anything is justifiable in the pursuit of power.

BUt, the people of California have a chance - if they could just get rid of the obstructionist democrats in the legislature - the ones wanting to prolong the budget crisis for as long as possible for whatever political gain they can achieve - then the state would have at least a fighting chance to crawl out of the "quagmire" it has found itself in.

Here's hoping...
